Products are the foundation of your shoppable content in LIVEBUY. They enable viewers to discover items during live shows, replays, and clips and take direct action while watching.
In the LIVEBUY Dashboard, products are divided into two product groups, each serving a different purpose.
1. Catalogue Products
Catalogue products are products that are uploaded automatically via your provided product feed.
Key Characteristics

Imported through your product feed on a daily basis or via your product API in ad-hoc real-time (reach out to your Key-Account-Manager to connect your product API with LIVEBUY)

Include detailed product data such as: title, description, sizes, colors, prices and other product attributes

Any updates in your product feed (e.g. price changes or availability) are reflected automatically during the daily sync or in real-time via your product API
How They Work in Content

Can be added to live shows, replays, and clips

Viewers can add these products directly to their cart within the LIVEBUY player

2. Linkout Products
Linkout products are products that are not part of your product feed and are added manually in the dashboard.

How They Work in Content

Can be displayed in live shows, replays, and clips

Viewers cannot add these products to the cart in the player

Instead, viewers can click through to the product page URL to continue the shopping journey
Linkout products are ideal for special use cases such as complex product configurations, external shops, or products that are not available in your standard catalog.
